Pregnancy has all kinds of fun stuff associated with it...like having a Trutol test. Every have one? I'm sure you must've. Go to the blood lab, try to choke down this over sugared "orange crush" drink, wait an hour, THEN go back and get your blood taken. Fun. I was fine till I read "may cause nausea and vomiting." Nice! I am so mind over matter when it comes to nausea so I convinced myself to ignore it and enjoy the fact that I FINALLY got to put some "food" into me. Oh, did I mention you have to fast overnight before doing this. Anyway, got the blood work done, back to work and wolfed down my breaky.
So, last night was a really great night. I made a quick grilled ham & cheese for E's supper than started my labour-ous supper. I sat down at 6 to eat...and wasn't even fond of what I was eating. It's a no-pasta salad Curves has in their menu. Pre-preggers, I loved it. Now, not so much. I think the artichoke hearts (which I love) threw me off. I have it again for my lunch today just to try it out...but it's still sitting there...and Tarek's salad across the street is calling me. Anyway, after supper, E agreeably had a bath, got dressed and watched a bit of TV...Toopie & Bino are her ABSOLUTE FAV now. She gets mad when it's over and yells at me to "do it again." I try explaining it's the TV programing what's on air, not me...which is a totally illogical concept for a 2 year old. (hehe) We didn't end up reading before bed...just to busy getting her snack, etc., which was fine since I was running out of steam. She went to bed without a fuss too. What a dream night...we need more like those.
Oh, and it continued today. She did have one awake moment at 5:30...cold I think. I covered her up and screamed "daddy". But when he went in, she was no better. Not sure how he calmed her down but he was back within a few mins and she was asleep. When I got her up, she was a bit fussy...just from me waking her (we had to leave in 5 mins). Anyway, she did come around quickly for me...amazing!!! And here's the funny part. I dropped her to daycare and was chatting with one of the "teachers". E, twice, said "go to work." So friggin' funny! It made me smile all the way in...which was nice since I knew the sugar drink was coming. ;) Well, I best be off. Nothing exciting on the go tonight, just veggin'. Hope you get some smiley moments today!
