HURRAY!!!! It's Friday!
Well I survived last night. I was so tired and going to be by myself to take care of E and then bake. Ugh! But it all worked out. E was such a little doll. We had our little tiffy trying to get her to eat (remember when I said she used to eat good???). She did manage to get lots of toast in and most of her peek-a-boo eggs…love the name. Just eggs in a nest. But they call it peek-a-boo eggs in the Strawberry Shortcake cookbook she wants from the Scholastic Book fair. J Impressionable huh? I may get it for her, since she’s interested, although it’s $15!!! But like DH says, ‘I don’t care how many books you buy her.’ She has such a great interest in reading. I hope she keeps that.
So, DH is done with Elevator Repair. Last night was the last ditch attempt at his union meeting. There were lots of guys who stuck up for him. Even Doc had some great things to say about DH. I felt glad for him so that he can have closure. And we’re really happy that the consensus, of the entire membership, was to return the $1100 dues he paid in February. He’s job hunting like crazy online. I know it really bothers him to be out of work but we have a safety net right now to help us through. I told him to be patient and the right job will present itself. He dropped by one place that looks very promising. Here’s hoping.
So tonight I have to put cool-whip on my pumpkin pies and take them, the spider cookies and yard sale stuff to the daycare for their Spring Fling tomorrow. We’ll be dropping by tomorrow from 9-10 and then back home for E’s party at 11. Hopefully we’ll all have fine weather. I have to tidy the house tonight too. Sweep, mop, dust and straighten up. And I’m hoping that Grey’s is replaying tonight at 9 so I can catch the 2 hour show. Oh, Survivor. Love that Alex is gone!!! Now the show will get good.
Well, I gotta get goin’. Hope y’all have a great wknd!!! I’ll let you in on all the b-day festivities Monday.

Love that you're posting more!
I feel the same about books...our kids love reading too. I don't care how much we spend on them. They make great 'treats' and encourage great life-long (hopefully) habits.
I have to laugh about the food. We went through that with C and are at the point with B. She is super fussy and unless it is pasta or chocolate (with a couple more exceptions) she won't eat it!
Sorry to hear about Jeff's situation. Hopefully he'll find work soon.
Take time for some rest, sounds like you're busy and enjoy the weekend!
You are such a good mama. just don't wear yourself out too much! We had such a nice visit on Sat. Sorry we missed the party, and then kept you up - but was really glad to see you all. Emma is such a little doll and talking so much, and it so tall!!! She's going to be a great big sister!!
