Friday night dance-off and other wild weekend stories...
Where does one go to dance when they're in the 30-something crowd? That's the question I posed to Google and Yahoo Friday night when my alternate plans were cancelled. We didn't have a clue. When you've been out of the bar scene for years, who knows? And when the only dancing you do is at someone's wedding, and you love to dance like moi, you get the itch after a while. Put it this way, we had just 1 wedding this year and it was outdoor...no dancing. I felt cheated!
Anyway, we found one answer...Boomers. DH & I went downtown for a big night of dancing. God love him! Talk about huge brownie points! DH doesn't care to dance too much but he indulged me and it was an awesome night. I thought it might be a bit strange going out to a club to dance without any friends but we had fun! We started out at Boomers around 9:30 and it was dead. So we ducked into Maxwell's Plum for a drink and they back to Boomers after 10 (just in time for happy hour!). Smart mama that I am, I had 2 double before I left (to save money). All said and done, we headed home around midnight. Not of course before we made the stop into KOD for a slice...donair pizza...so yummy! Yeah, not great on SFL plan but it was my treat for the week.
Saturday I hung out with E most of the day while DH & MIL did some Christmas shopping. I caught up on the laundry and E&I walked to the store for milk and rented 2 movies. After lunch, she napped while I finished folding. DH & MIL, expected to be home around 2...didn't make it until 4!!! I quickly got a shower, headed to Costco aka Price Club and Superstore for groceries. I got back in time to see E before she went to bed. In the p.m., DH & I watched a waste of time movie (can't even remember the name) before heading to bed.
Sunday, went to church and enjoyed the social they had for our priest (whose leaving us). Then went to the Flea Market at Exhibition Park, got E an Ernie doll for a buck and winter tires for $140!! Which was perfect timing as we were getting new ones this Friday. Watched the other rental (March of the Penguins). Great movie, LOVE Morgan Freeman's voice. Then finished off the day sorting out missy's toys (out with the baby toys, in with the little girl toys). Can't believe how fast my baby is growing.
Well, I better get going. Have a good one

P.S. It seems I've been grosely misinformed. Apparently switching to beta isn't that difficult. When I get a minute, I'll try it out. TTFN!

Anyway, since I owe you a night out, we should go dancing soon :)
