Fun family weekend
We all had a very nice weekend with the family. Friday night we just laid low around home. Watched some TV, relaxed, it was really nice. Saturday morning, Mom, Dad, E & I went to visit friends of my parents. Former CBers now living in Halifax to be close to their kids. It was a great to see them again. E had fun snooping around their apartment. She was so cute. We went home for lunch and then had naps. (Really love my naps!!) Then around 4ish we planned to pick up friends Hil & Hayley and head downtown early for a bite before the Parade of Lights (starting at 5:45). Well, not such a good plan because everyone else had the same idea.
Mom, DH, E, H & H piled into the van and headed for Smitty's downtown. There was a huge lineup so we figured we'd park and get something along Spring Garden. There were lineups everywhere we went so we decided to park our butts and get snacks and food for E. She started out with crackers and ate part of a hotdog bun (not the weiner) and some crunchits. It makes me really mad because we had good intention but ate chips instead. Oh well, we tried. The parade was fun and E was in awe by most of it. But she did get bored and we left before Santa made his appearance. C100's Happy Feet float was awesome! Hope they win something. A lot of hard work went into it for sure!!
Leaving early meant we missed a lot of the traffic which was great. We went to Smitty's in Clayton Park and ate breakfast, except H & H. E must have filled up on chips because she didn't eat much. All in all it was a great night. Sunday was another lay low day. DH had safety training, the rest of us went to church then home for dinner, naps and relaxing before our yummy roast pork supper. Great job MIL!! Well, Mom & dad are off to their friend's place for a few days before going home. For us, it's goodbye but what a nice visit we had! It'll keep me going for a while. (Crossing my fingers that we'll be going home for New Years!!) Anyway ducks, have a great day.

Congrats to Emma! It is another little stepping stone in growing up.
Glad to hear you had a nice wkend. I hate heading out for the parade and all the people. God love Amber, she took Mya and P and D. She almost broke her arms as D is too heavy and too many people for the stroller. She's a saint!!
