Wet & Wild Weekend!

Well, where do I start?? MBF Shay & I get up early Saturday morning for our Scrappin' weekend. We arrive in the Valley in good order and scrap the day away. But the adventure really begins in the evening. We had a lovely dinner and then went back to our room to dress for the costume portion of the event. :) I won best unusual costume for my faux Christmas tree outfit. Long sleeve green shirt covered in decorations and ribbon...complimented by my tree skirt and lovely headpiece (the star tree topper). Also winners were the 3 lumps of coal in the stocking and Santa with his 9 reindeer.

At 11 p.m., we (Shay, sisters Amber & Kelly and I) decide we've had enough. Back to the room for nibblies, drinks and cheraids (Our thanks to DH for driving to & from Halifax with booze, snacks and swimsuit in tow. God love ya!). Shay's friend Jackie hosted our hilarious event (what a "lady!!") Who but us would get a noise complaint at 2 a.m. at a scrapper's weekend while playing cheraides. That's when we decided the party was over. Went back to our room and had some trouble with our toilet. Called the desk and a lovely gent in a suit came to "fix it." 45 minutes, and several towels later, he decided to get us another room. Unfortunately, the only doubles left were in the smoking section. 4 a.m. we're in bed a sleep. Up at 7 a.m. for a swim, bkft and back scrappin.

Overall, the trip was awesome! We had a lot of fun, a lot of laughs and got lots accomplished. E's first year is finally documented. And I'm caught up to May in the 2006 album. Thank goodness I had a day to rest before getting back to work. Thanks for the great weekend girls!!
