THE UNOFFICIAL LAUNCH!
AND NOW OVER TO YOUR NEW SPOKESWOMAN FOR CURVES!
Yes, I'll say unofficial because no contract has been signed. I did however signed up for Curves yesterday (www.curves.com). I met the lovely Jana who walked me through the Joe Howe Drive location. They have an amazing set up that's simple to follow. Just jump in anytime, anywhere to start your 30 minute workout. It's not a walk in the park though. The machines make you work by using your own resistance. Today is my first workout (after work). I'll give you all the details tomorrow. I know I'm going to LOVE IT!!
So, with the fitness program, they also have an eating plan. Curves will be launching that portion in January. I have a copy of the plan and if I'm agreeable, I too will start in January. As you know, I'm currently following SFL (Simply for Life), which I really am enjoying. However, in exchange for being the Curves spokeswoman, I'll be following both the fitness and eating plans. It's all very exciting...and maybe 1% intimidating. Lending my name to a company is something I don't take lightly. If I'm representing Curves I better make sure I do so not only in name, but in action. Which is not to say that I can't also have a life. Still I am 100% accountable.
So, that's the big scoop. Questions/Comments, please ask. I'm an open book. Anyone else Curves members? Any feedback (good or bad) would be appreciated.
I'm Bernadette, and I've got Curves!

Congrats, that's such great news! What will you be doing exactly?
I went - a long time ago - and really liked it. As mentioned I wanted to get back into it. It is a good workout, as hard as you make it. So, if you're having a not-so-great day you can workout and take it a bit easier. As I mentioned, I do want to get back at it as I need the exercise and paying the money is motivation to get there. I got the book with the eating plan they used to have but for me it was too hard to follow. I have enough prob cooking meals that folks in my house will eat without having to go way out and do my own thing completely. I at least try to have some portion of a meal be something we can all eat. Anyway, come Jan that might be completely dif and more do-able. If I get back at it I'll have to look into it.
The only (small) complaint I have personally is that a) I get bored easily so I couldn't see me doing that routine only for a lengthy period of time. I did switch it up with walking but think I'd have to do something else even if it was long term and b) come nice weather I'm an outside kinda girl and don't wanna be in a gym :) That's just me though! I find it a great way to get/keep in shape in the winter and a nice option to have otherwise. Lots of support and great people there too! Now, you're one of em :) Good luck!
That is awesome Bern!! As for me I did try Curves only once. I really didn't give it a real try. It wasn't for me. I went back to my old faithful Nubody's. But I do know people really do enjoy it.
That is a lot of pressure. But you can handle it.
