Super weekend!!
My goodness what a wonderful weekend. We had so much fun as a family! Now that E's getting older, we're really enjoying active play with her. Friday night, we didn't do a whole lot. We're all tired by the end of the week really. Saturday morning, DH & I went to Spiderman 3 on IMAX with my work. It was great to have Shay & Mark come along. Nice doing something fun with other adults. Movie was alright with some cheezy moments. But the action was cool, I must admit. Afterward, we have lunch at Montana's. The best baked potato I've ever eaten!!! Tender all the way through and yummy toppings to make it extra tasty. Poor Shay got stuck with onion on her meal...which she asked them not to include. At least she got $10 off...but it's for her next visit. Anyway, it was nice to visit with them. Great chat, great company.
Saturday afternoon, we took E to the Wentworth playground for over an hour. She had a ball running and giggling the whole time. We were worn out watching her. :) Then we took her for ice cream at Point Pleasant. No vanilla (she's a plain Jane) so we got her Birthday Cake. It was hilarous!!! She kept saying, "Mmmm...my favourite!" She ate the whole thing!! Cone & all!!! What a cutie! When we got home, I got my bubbly tub ready for E & I to have a bath (DH is still in reno mode of the main bath). Then supper and bed. Saturday night, can you believe I was in bed by 8:30?? No joke. I didn't fall asleep till around 9 or quarter after. I woke up at midnight to an empty bed. Got up and found Jeff and dragged him back to bed. Slept in till 8, which was really nice. I felt totally rested on Monday and didn't even nap.
Sunday day, DH, E & I went to the Public Gardens for a picnic...last time. We tried to feed the ducks...not allowed. Not allowed to walk on the grass, even to chase you 2 year old off it. It was disappointing. Got E home for a nap and then I went for groceries. Got home, put stuff away, watched E have a bath in her pool outside...so cute. Baked banana bread, had supper, watched some TV and off to bed. Hopefully we'll have more great weekends like that! I'm on pins and needles today for DH. His interview is at 10. All wknd he kept saying the job is his. Today, you could tell he's nervous. I'm leaving it in the Lord's hands. If it's meant to be, it will be. If not, something else is in the works for him. Truly, I hope this is it...he needs this.

Sounds like a great weekend! Kids are wonderful no matter what age but when they're old enough to take out and have those kinds of outtings it is really enjoyable. I love it - and the kids have a ball! Glad you guys did too.
I hope Jeff has a wonderful interview!!!
Thanks so much for the movie and lunch. It was an awesome visit! Onions and all :) And I liked the movie a lot, despite all the cheese :) I was surprised that Toby pulled off the "tough guy"!!
Sounds like you have a great wkend. So disappointing about Public Gardens, but point pleasant might be better. We should do a picnic with all the kids, they'd LOVE it. I think mine would LIVE outside!!
Isn't Wentworth awesoem??? We are supposed to be getting same type of one in Cole harbour. Can't wait!!
I am sending all kinds of good energy into the universe for Jeff and I hope it'll all go right back to him!!! Keep us posted. I'm on pins and needles too!!!
