Day 2 at home...well, really Day 1 at home.

Yesterday I wore myself out running the roads. I didn't get home till 4:30 after I picked up E. It was a very productive day though. Started out at Motherhood Maternity and got a few things...nursing bra, more panties and a shirt on sale. I have so many dressy shirts, I needed something casual now that I'm off. Everything was normal at the OBGYN. After that, I got the stocking material at Fabricville...it's the only fabric store in Hlfx now. It was expensive but luckily they had a 1/2 off sale. I got a burgundy base for E's and a white base for L's. Both have pink poincettas but L's also has calla lilies on it...couldn't resist. :) I also bought matching pale pink fleece to line the inside and will cuff outward at the top.

The chiro visit went great. He said everything looked good. Worked a touch on my shoulder again. It's getting better each time...really mild now. Did a quick stop at a computer store. DH wants a new one but it's just not the time. Our $$ is wrapped up in paying down the large student loan. Instead I bought us a DVD burner for Christmas. That plus blank DVDs was just under $70...better than the $150 we thought we'd have to shell out. Had a delightful lunch at Cora's...by myself...but it was still nice. Went to Costco to scout out DVDs. The Avon book has a special Christmas DVD of Toopy & Binoo I want to get for E...and it's the last thing, I promise!!! They didn't have it but they did have Transformers, which I got for DH. I also bought mini DVDs for the digital video recorder and a few things for L...I barely have anything for her.

Finally, on to the eye dr. I was an hour early but wanted time to shop around for glasses. I found a pair I loved...they are a pale pink shade with rinestones on the arms. The gal suggested the brown pair and they did suit me better. Got in early for my appt. and nothing's changed...so I really didn't need glasses but I got them anyway. I wanted a change, plus my other ones can be a spare. I'll get the new ones in a week. After that, it was home to pick up E from daycare, have supper and then DH & I went to a meeting over a proposed community centre for our area. If you can believe it, many were opposed because it would mean a property tax increase of $5 increase/year (on a $100,000 home). Is that nuts or what????? I'd save that in one trip to Spryfield wave pool, or in town for something fun to do with E. The sketches looked beautiful! Fortunately, you could just vote and leave, which is what we did since we were beat.

So, that was my busy day. Today I hope it's much less busy. I'm scheduling in Christmas wrapping, a bath, grocery shopping and maybe a garage hunt for baby stuff...we'll see. Hope your day goes well.

Whew...you sure were busy! It is nice to get things done though and then you can really relax. I hope you get some time in there to do that anyway before Lily arrives. What's her due date again?

Have fun today!
