Green girl

I should have taken a picture of my little doll this morning. So, so cute!! Daycare had "Wear Green" day today for St. Patty's day. E has on a cute lime green outfit, pants and tank top with a cream long sleeve shirt underneath. And of course the cute green barette in her hair. :) Not sure if it'll stay in all day, but who cares. I sent along some little treats for the kids in her class. I made pots of gold out of black construction paper, light green pipe cleaner handles with brown string tied in the front. Then I put 1 chocolate coin in the pot with a tag from E. W. I know, they probably won't see the value in them but I had fun making them.

So today's game plan: I have to work late to make up some time. DH & MIL are picking up E after work. I'm going (hopefully-depending on weather) to get the food for the party tomorrow night. I was a bit worried that I might not be making enough variety with the dishes. I'm going to pick up a green salad too just to have an extra side dish. Do you think with the salad, boxtys, Guinness beef, sweet potato fries, soda bread and bread pudding dessert is enough? Or should I make a chicken dish too? My MIL offered to make chili but I'd like to keep it traditional. Maybe I should relent in case traditional isn't to everyone's taste. Thoughts??

Well, hope you have a happy Friday and a very Happy St. Patty's Day, wherever you are!

They're going to a St. Paddy's day party and know its going to have traditional food - which sounds VERY yummy I might add. If they don't think they're going to like it they can eat before they go :) You're doing plenty already, I'm sure it's more than enough. I wouldn't do any more.

The treats sound very cute. I'm sure they'll love em.

Wish I could be there on Sat...don't know if I'll even be making for the shower b/c of the weather. Have lots of fun!
