Icy and dicey!

Well, that's been the most interesting drive into work I've had in my 4 years in Hatchet Lake. Wow. The traffic was at a crawl up until I reached Leonard's (little garage in Goodwood). Once I got passed there, it was smooth sailing in to work. Oh, with the exception of our street. Unbelievable! One lane was covered in snow...it's not much better now. Icy, huge puddles, it's terrible! At least I'm here safe & sound and hopefully the drive home will be better.

The wknd was great. FINALLY got to spend time with Megan & fam. They came over for pizza and pjs...well, we all were in our pjs...and their kids. ;) Still, very fun. We played on the Wii and Megan & I caught up. Logan (her baby...soon to be 1) is SO much bigger than L. Face it, any other baby is bigger than L. :) Anyway, Sun was SUPPOSED to be my Scrapbooking get together. The 2 gals that were supposed to come cancelled last minute...but I didn't know till 5 mins before I was heading out when I checked FB. Really sucky. I understand some things are unavoidable, however. Nuff said!

So, DH & I are going on a date tonight. I'm pretty excited. We're really lucky to be able to go out often. Though most times we run errands. I think DH needs this. He's been pretty bummed just waiting around for the career counseling place to call him. I know it's frustrating for him. He's so unsure of which direction to take...and making him wait isn't helping. He just wants to get income for the family. And as hard as I try to reassure him we'll get through this rough patch like the other ones before, all he can see is the repeated pattern. It's tough to remain hopeful for 2.
