Let the Sunshine!!!!

Isn't this just awesome??!! Only thing better would be to be on vacation and truly enjoy it. At least we can enjoy it in the evening. Last night I drug the kiddy pool out of the garage for E. She played for a good hour, forgetting about supper (which was great since it was still in the oven). Then we threw her in the tub since the flies were "bugging" us. :) It was a quick one cause she realized she was hungry, but it was enough time to pull up a plate for her. DH worked late but came home in just enough time to visit with E and take her to bed. She protested but only complained for a minute after we put her down.

I'm really looking forward to tonight. I've had a craving for wings since last Wed so DH & I are going tonight and then going to see Transformers. I think it will be fun. I wish I had more time to go to movies. I'd love to see Hairspray too. And there are a few others. Really excited to see Harry Potter on IMAX this wknd. Work is taking us Saturday a.m. Afterwards, DH & I are going to pick up E's twin bed, aka her "big girl" bed. :) I'm so excited!!! It's not new but it's in great shape. I think we'll give it a paint job and new drawer handles. Should look sweet when we're finished. The end of July is fast approaching. I can't believe how quick the summer is flying by. I'm hoping to have E's room completed by the end of August.

I may have mentioned that I bought a matching comforter/sheet set. The base is pink with bright pink, aqua and light purple accent colours. We're going to do Aqua on the walls. Maybe Daddy can patch, sand, prime and paint while we're in CB. E & I are going down for the last week of Aug. I'd like to have her in her new room well in advance of the baby coming. That way she won't feel like I switched her out because of the baby and feel any resentment. Right now the room is dreadful looking!! I HATE the curtains. I'm going to make E simple ones in bright pink. And I have sheer light purple fabric to drape over the rod. I even found wooden letters (99 cents each) at Walmart that I'll paint the same colour as the bed (likely light pink, same as the bed). It's going to be a real cute butterfly/flower room.

Well, I better get going. Hope you have a great day! Enjoy that sun!!! It may not last for long.
