Weekend Update with B. Whitty

Friday night was so funny. E's wide awake and DH & I are nearly asleep on the couch. Couldn't wait till 8 o'clock rolled around for her bedtime. Oddly enough, the pair of us managed to stay up to 10:30. :) Saturday we both got up with E and had a pancake and sausage bkft. I ran out for groceries before lunchtime. Bought E an Elmo nylon chair for a treat...but she was already in bed by the time I got home. Made it easy for DH & I to pack for his work Pool Party. Once she got up, we loaded the van and headed out Liverpool way. We had a great time. Really delish food, fun crowd and the pool was a blast...even if it was raining. E had so much fun! That night, we drove back home in the rain, put E to bed and just vegged.

Yesterday DH got up with E and made Cream of Wheat for bkft...so delish when made with milk...my first time having it. (It's the little things. :) We went to church then to the duck pond passed the Dingle and fed the duckies (overfed really...we had a Sobey's bag FULL of bread). Went home and made pizza, homemade!!! E even helped with the toppings...so cute. :) After lunch, we napped. Then we made plans to go to the beach (Lake Bannook) with Shay, Mark and Deylin. So fun, plus super nice to see them after so long!!! It's been ages since we had a good visit. We went back to their place to bath the kids, finish our quick visit then off home to get E to bed. It was quarter to 10 before we got her in bed!!!!! I thought she'd fall asleep on the drive, no way. At least she woke up happy this a.m. Nana came back from her trip with presents from Aunt Lillian. E had a ball playing doctor. But she was really upset to see Nana go to work. And sad again to see me leave daycare. Hope she has a good day.

Nothing happening today. I have to run out to Bedford at lunch to see a bed DH's aunt has on hold for E. It's a mates bed (with the drawers I think), hardwood painted white. It think it'll be a great match for her room. And if that doesn't work, there's a brass daybed. I'd rather the white, but we'll see.
